Cobie Smulders, born April 3, 1982 in Vancouver, Canada, grew up wanting to become a marine biologist or any other career in the medical field. In high school, Cobie discovered a passion for acting after joining school productions at the Lord Byng Secondary School. During this time, a modeling agent discovered Cobie Smulders, which led to a professional contract. As a model, Smulders worked on various destinations overseas, including Japan, Germany, Africa, Italy, Greece, Caribbean, Milan and New York. Even with a hectic schedule, Cobie Smulders was able to graduate high school in 2000 with honors and was voted “Most Respected.”

In 2005, Cobie Smulders won the hearts of fans around the world when she appeared on the first season of “How I Met Your Mother.” On the CBS sitcom, Smulders portrays the TV reporter Robin Scherbatzky, who used to be a former Canadian teen pop star and used to date Ted. On the episode “Sandcastles in the Sand,” Cobie Smulders performed two songs “Let’s Go to the Mall” and “Sandcastles in the Sand,” for a flashback scene as the pop star Robin Sparkles.
